Hmmm...my dyslexia is green, but a darkish green. theres something soft and gental about it, pretty too. the surface of it shimers. its a blob nicely curved but odly shaped, lika a puddle. its not really a liquid, something in between, and some what oily, but soft too. Its both pretty but unpleasent, it makes you feel a bit nausiated. It clogs things up like snot, getting in all the crevices in my head and getting comfy and stopping the pumbling working. its like a strange little life form I'm a bit fond because we have been together a long time but am scared of as well. Its like flubber but not translucent and a darker, richer green. It slides over things gracefuly, like a snake and doesn't make a sound, its erily silent. It likes to lurck in the darkest parts of my mind and make itself snug. I'd like to be friends with it but I'm scared its going to bite me if I try get to know it, probably because its bitten me before.
I'm not sure if its a paricite or symbiotic, though it seems unlikly its going to help me with its sinister, underhand, movements

I know this thread is pretty old but I wanted to add my description. My dyslexia feels like a gray cloud that I get stuck in when it is giving me a hard time.

D says his is like a bright white bouncy ball, but sometimes it turns in to a key and he can access things others can't.
==============================================
I like D description though and I will work at seeing it that way. It will help me learn to be able to see my dyslexia in a positive way.

Today my dyslexia felt like a tall shape that was full of bright light, perhaps like a light house but not quite. eerrm, i think it was more like a very tall person walking in a crowed who can see further ahead than the rest of the people around him can.
a bit of a strange one today i think!

wow Kate, your description made me sit in my chair staring into space day dreaming about what it must be like to slide down a pink squilly blob - wow!
i love reading these posts as each one sparks my imagination as i try to picture how each person sees their own dyslexia.
today my dyslexic has changed again and its now like a small piece of bluetack that i have rolled up into a ball and stuck on to the wall next to the computer.

Hi uglybaruja
I attend a local climbing wall and the guys I climb with ooze confidence, they are however very supportive as they have been climbing much longer than me. This week we went for coffee and I realised that I had over fifteen pounds in change in my purse. I know this sounds mad to most people, but I'm sure someone here will understand, but I get stressed counting change and often give people too much money, just in case.
Before I went in to get the money I focused on remaining in the pink zone and keeping the Celtic knot loose.
I do feel that this is just another way of self hypnosis, which I am fairly good at and can often take myself into other zones. However if I was to reach the bright red and complex knot I do not know how long it would take me to calm to pink.
The restrictive part I meant was that all knots are fairly restrictive but the are also secure so my focus was on that secure angle of the knot as counting money is an area that makes me feel insecure.
I have not told the guys I climb with that I am dyslexic as it has not really been something that has arisen but also because I think most people who are not dyslexic are suspicious of me as they see a confident able person. They do not see the self doubt and confusion, or the panic when I cannot remember how to tie in my ropes before I start climbing even although I did it ten minutes ago.

I think you may be able to help me BIG time I am severly dylsexic and a Young Leader in Beavers, Cubs and Sea Scouts as well as a Sea Explorer Scout. There are many knots to learn as you can prob imagine. At time I have to teach the scouts to do knots but I cant master anything apart from reef knot and that is only sometimes.Memoray depending.
Have you found any ways to remember knots becasuse I need it for Scouts as well as College where I am training to become an Outdoor instuctor whitch includes climbing.
This would be alot of help.
Many thanks
